Clear Mountain
A freestanding bath set to the window, a fluted feature wall and backlit mirrors — the most photographed room we have built.
The house had the view and the bathroom had its back to it. Moving the bath to the window was the first decision and everything else followed from it.
A fluted profile runs the length of the wet wall to catch the light without competing with the outlook. The mirrors are backlit rather than downlit, so the room reads warm at night instead of clinical.
A main bathroom and an ensuite, one team, and the owners stayed in the house throughout.
